I LOVE the range of products offered by Walnut Hollow that feature a bark edge! I think these natural designs are so beautiful and the extra texture from the bark makes them even more eye-catching. As much as I love the natural look, I also love a bit of bling. I combined my love for all things rustic with a touch of sparkle by adding some gold spray paint to this functional piece of home decor.
Supplies:
Walnut Hollow Bark Edge Slide Together Tablet Stand
Walnut Hollow Basswood Country Rounds Coasters
Walnut Hollow Creative Versa-Tool
StencilGirl Segments Stencil
Gold Spray Paint
Spray Sealant
Painter’s Tape
Pencil
Step 1: Use a pencil with the stencil to trace a segment pattern onto both pieces of the bark edge tablet and the two coasters.
Step 2: Use the Creative Versa-Tool and the universal point to burn the pattern into the wood.
Step 3: Mask segments for painting with tape.
Step 4: Apply gold spray paint to the exposed wood. Once dry, remove the tape, and protect the wood with a spray sealant.
I kept this design neutral, but I think this project would also look amazing in a fresh, bright color palette for Spring.
Take advantage of the Walnut Hollow sale that is going on now! There are tablet and phone stands in this section if you’d like to create a similar project.
Thanks for stopping by today! Leave me a comment and let me know how you would decorate this tablet stand.
