Spread joy in a fun way with some little Walnut Hollow Birch Tag wood rounds! Add fun and uplifting messages to small Birch Tags with the Creative Woodburner and paint, then leave the rounds in places where they can be found by an unsuspecting person. Brighten someone’s day and spread some joy! Plus you can have a little bit of fun yourself creating these adorable little wood rounds in the process!
Have you ever been having a rotten day and then stumbled across something that made you smile and forget your troubles for a little bit? That’s always such a nice feeling! One of my favorite things is helping to provide some of those random smiles to someone in need of cheering up. There really isn’t much that compares to sharing the joy with others! I had so much fun taking these little Walnut Hollow Birch Tags and adding inspirational, uplifting messages to them and then leaving them for someone to find! I’m excited to share the simple tutorial with you today.
Supplies needed for Joyful Wood Rounds:
- Walnut Hollow Creative Woodburner
- Walnut Hollow Birch Tags, 4 pack
- Paint, Glitter paint, or Markers
- Paint Brush
- Durable outdoor varnish or sealer
Step one:
Write, or trace uplifting messages onto your Birch Tags. These cute little rounds measure between 1 and 2 inches in size. They’re super adorable tiny little things just big enough for an encouraging word or two. I printed some uplifting messages and words and then used graphite transfer paper to transfer them onto my rounds. You can use a bigger wood round if you want to add a more complex message for someone to find, of course.
Step two:
Burn, or paint your message onto the round! I used both the Creative Woodburner and some paint to add my messages onto the wood rounds.
Step three:
Add some glitter to help get your little round noticed by someone. A little sparkle is sure to catch their eye! You can also add some fun color with paint or markers.
Step four:
Last but not least, coat the Birch Tags with a durable outdoor wood varnish or sealer. You wouldn’t want your beautiful message to get ruined by the elements before someone has a chance to find it!
We’d love to see the joy you’re spreading, so be sure to tag #walnuthollow and #walnuthollowjoy on social media!
What joyful uplifting message will you leave for someone to find?
