Quietfire Designs has some of the most beautiful stamps that I have ever seen. The delicate Calligraphy is so well done and the stamps themselves are very high quality. It was really fun to work with Suzanne in deciding what the stamps should say for this Thanksgiving themed blog hop! It took me a whole 5 minutes to decide that I was going to make coasters for the blog hop. The size of the Quietfire Design stamps combined with Walnut Hollow’s 4.5″Circle Mini Thin Plaque were perfect for coasters on a Thanksgiving table setting!

I started preparing my Circle Plaques by sanding them and putting 2 coats of Light Buttermilk Americana Acrylic Paint

Once the paint was dry I used Coffee Bean Archival Pigment Ink to stamp on this Sunflower stamp that was purchased at Michaels.

I used a heat gun to set the ink then colored in the sunflowers with Tsukineko® Memento Dual Markers. The brush tip worked well for filling in the petals and the center of the sunflower with loose strokes.

I stamped the beautiful Quietfire Design stamp that is a part of the Give Thanks set onto a thin piece of white paper. I love the quality of these stamps! They are so clean and crisp!

I centered the paper in the center of the sunflower.

I mixed up some Ice Resin (it is so easy to use!) Here is a video that shows how to mix your Ice Resin properly.

I poured the ice resin over the stamped paper and spread it all the way to the edge. The Ice Resin is thick enough so that it does not run over the edge of the piece of wood. Ice Resin is very easy to use on wood!
