Couch Arm Coffee Table

Couch Arm Coffee Table by Dana Tatar

I don’t have a lot of extra space in my home for bulky side tables. Unfortunately, this meant that I could snuggle up on my couch with a hot cup of coffee, or a book, but not both. My days of precariously balanced beverages and not having my essentials within arms reach are over! My new couch arm coffee table just may be my favorite project to date and is something that I will enjoy every single day.

Step 3: Use an electric drill to secure the spring hinges to the bottom of the rectangle plaque. Use an electric drill to secure the table arms to the spring hinges. Note: The spring hinges I used are quite large. To keep this hardware hidden I used a Rectangle Mini Thin Plaque as a shim so that I could attach the hinges to the underside of the table top. This additional piece of wood may not be necessary with a different hinge or design style.

When I’m not creating art, I enjoy baking, reading, listening to music and spending time outdoors with my family.
